Myanmar problem and ASEAN country.

NOWADAYS Japanese broadcasts seldome to mention Myanmar problem afther the accident that Japanee cameraman had been shot.
But the problem is still there.

Last monday,29th Oct, Prime minister of the foreigh affairs of France had meeting about economic panishment against Myanmar with that of Singapore.
Singapore is chairman of ASEAN.
He said 'EU countries insisted that EU and ASEAN coutries should do economic punishment against Myanmar Military Regime.'
'Military should protect or guard nation from the others but they shot them.such a goverment must be punished by other country!'
and so on.

but ASEAN countries can not agree with that suggestion.
Why?To know that, we have to see how Myanmmar problem occured.

Since the coup d'Etat in 1960's, the union of Myanmar 's goverment changed to autocracy, tyramy goverment by Ne Win.
He controlled thta information from other country by military and network intelligence.Myanmar became like 'SAKOKU',which japan in edo era.

Such a politic was wnough unhappy for people to do demonstration against goverment. So far, these demonstrations sometimes occured.
3rd Sep in this year, Congress closed after deciding new law which admit military to have power stronger than before.

then, people tend to trust not to politics, but to buddhism priest people.
Myanmar was still Buddhist country even under the militaly regime.
people talk with priests about their problem and prienst began to do demonstration against the politics.
so we received that news.

then, we can see the other ASEAN countrises and compare with Myanmar.
At first we should see Singapore, which is ASEAN chairman country.
Singapore congress has totally 83 chairs. The Goverment Party owns 81 chairs, on the other hand opposition Party owns no more than 2 chairs.
this is, on the other words, one-party-dictation.
if we call Maynmar 'one party dictation by the Military Party', are there any differences between them?

Next, I want to mention Malaysia.
Malaysian Election law is weird as Bomo.
Last election,Opposition Party could get 40% of all votes but they could own less than 10% of all chairs.
This month, Malaysia will have another election.Politicians who wants the law to change had done demonstrations for that 2 month ago.but Malaysian Police shot teargases to them for return!
Such a thing is not because Malaysia was poor, or weird country.Than, Malaysia is second storongest country in ASEAN coutries.(1st is, of course, Singapore.)
You may well how strong is Singapore, and Malaysia had had most highest buiding in the world once.
Both of these country is far from poor, wild.

Some country (especially in Europe) may blame ASEAN countries,
but,Perhaps, this is ASI(E)AN way.
